The MFS30C EFI replaced the MFS30B EFI introduced in 2005 and sports a number of developments and upgrades. The first thing you notice is the Sleek Modern Cowl design in keeping with the modern trend on the MFS40/50A.

The other key features include:

New Gear ratio of 2.17 : 1 capable of using larger propellers. This should suit todays boat designs. Test runs also indicate improvement in fuel economy and related performance factors.
Above feature has seen immediate throttle response, quick acceleration through low end torque
Variable Idling Control for trolling purposes in increments 850,950,1050 rpm. Forward control and Multi Function Tiller Models.
Battery-free EFI and Manual Start feature retained on all models even with electric start
Simple water flushing system
TOCS (Tohatsu Onboard Communication System). Optional facility to allow integration with compatible electronic devices supporting the NMEA 2000 system
Available with Multi Function Tiller on select Power Tilt Models
Standard Tiller on manual start units also has gear shift in forward of cowl position
